With this program, you don’t have to spend any extra money to help Emerson. Simply check the links and information below to see how your grocery store gives back. In most instances it will take ONE step from you either online or at the service desk, to connect your grocery store purchases to benefit Emerson School all year long.
Grocery stores WANT to give us money. Ok, let’s do some math: If half of our families spent an average of $100 per week on groceries, and 5% of that comes back to Emerson, how much money would Emerson earn?
150 Families x $100 spent per week on groceries = $15,000 x 5% = $750 per week x 36 weeks in the school year = $27,000 back to our children!
5% can really make a difference!
Emerson has fundraising programs with these stores:
Busch’s Free rechargeable gift card. 5% when paid with debit card, cash, or check, 3% when paid with credit card. Gift cards must now be linked to a MyWay (frequent shopper) account.
Kroger 5%. Show/scan your Kroger Community Rewards (frequent shopper) card during checkout.

Plum Market Unfortunately, as of September 30, 2011, Plum market has informed us that Emerson School was not selected to participate in their SCRIP program this year.
Arbor Farms Free rechargeable gift card. Reload the card in the checkout line before you pay for your groceries. 5% donated when card is reloaded with debit card, cash, or check. 3% when reloaded with credit card. Contact debbie.thom@comcast.net for a card.
Hiller's 3%. Free rechargeable gift card. For first-time use - activate and load money on the card at the customer service desk before your grocery order is rung up. Thereafter, card can be reloaded in the checkout line before you pay for your groceries. Email Beth Anderson at banderson@emerson-school.org to obtain a card.
Meijer .5 – 1%. Even though it’s a small percentage, we’ll take it! Register your card online. Our school code is #704550. The Meijer's 1 reward card or a Meijer's credit card can be connected to Emerson with the link above for a 5% benefit to the school.
TargetREDcard 1% by using their credit or debit cards. Target REDcard holders save 5% on purchases when using their cards in stores and online. Visit Target.com/tcoe, or call
1-800-316-6142 to designate our school.
Pay for groceries using a free, rechargeable Cash for Education gift card. Reload the card in the checkout line after items are scanned. You can reload for the exact amount if you wish, so there is never any unused cash on the card. 5% is donated when the card is reloaded with a debit card, cash, or check. 3% is donated when reloaded with credit card.
Busch’s gift cards must now be linked to a MyWay (frequent shopper) card in order to participate in the fundraising program.

If you do have a Busch’s gift card, but are not a MyWay member:
Sign up for a MyWay card at the customer service desk, or online at http://myway.buschs.com/ After you sign up, be sure to follow the steps in the email you will receive to ACTIVATE the card.
If you have a Busch’s gift card and you are a My Way member, verify that your account is registered to Emerson.

2. Under the My Account tab, select the Cash for Education option.

Kroger Instruction Sheet
Enroll now for the 2012 - 2013 Kroger Community Rewards Program.

It’s easy for your members to enroll or re‐enroll in Kroger Community Rewards. They can visit www.krogercommunityrewards.com, click on “Michigan” and click on “Enroll” or “Re‐enroll”.
All participants must have a valid online account at Kroger.com and must sign up online to participate.
Step by step instructions:
- Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com
- Click "Michigan"
- Click “Re‐enroll” if you were registered in the program last year.
- Put in your e‐mail
- Put in your password ‐(If you forgot the password you set up please go thru the “Forgot your password”)
- Click the “Sign In”
- Find your organization by typing in your organization’s NPO number (82607).
- Click the “Search”
- Please make sure that you click on the circle to the left of your organization so that it becomes highlighted.
- Click the “Select Your Organization”
- Click the” Save Changes”

- Click “Enroll” If you have never been a part of Kroger Community Rewards.com, Kroger.com or registered with the scan bar method last year.
- “Sign up today” (to the right)
- Enter your zip code and click “Search”
- Click on the arrow to display the list of stores in your zip code and highlight your preferred store
- Enter in your email and password
- Click “Next”
- Key in you Kroger Plus Card Number (If it says that this card has already been used, please call the number on the back of your card)
- Enter the security code (from the box above it)
- Enter in your contact information.
- Click on “next”
- Verify that your account information is correct. Check box for agreement of the terms and conditions and click “complete information”
- Kroger will send an email that you entered earlier in the process. (this can take up to 10 minutes)
- Open the email that Kroger sent. Read the email and either click on the link within the email or copy and paste it into your browser.
- Sign in: click on the “Click here “button and then type in your email and password.
- Under Kroger Community Rewards Section at right, click “Edit Kroger Community Rewards Information.”
- Find your organization by typing in your organization’s NPO number (82607).
- Click on Emerson School. Please make sure that you click on the circle to the left of your organization so that it becomes highlighted.
- Click on “Save Changes”
- Scroll over the page and make sure all information is accurate
You are now “registered.”
- Purchases will not count for Emerson until after you register your card(s).
Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
Your purchases will begin earning rewards for your designated organization within 7‐10 business days of registering your Kroger Plus Card online. You will know you are registered correctly by looking at the bottom of your next Kroger receipt. It states that Kroger will be donating to Emerson School.
If you do not have a Kroger Plus Shopper’s Card, an application for one can be picked up at the store’s Customer Service desk.
