Why did you want to work at Emerson?
I love that Emerson celebrates and appreciates the unique talents and gifts of each student. The collaborative and forward-thinking approach to education makes Emerson an ideal place to learn and teach.

Every time I visited the school, the staff and teachers were always friendly and the students were smiling and engaged. Visiting on the day of the bake sale and book sale was the perfect time to see Emerson shine!

What wows you about Emerson?
I love the design of the building which incorporates creative spaces like the theater and the outdoor learning areas. The new colleagues that I’m just getting to know are also impressive!

In one word, what is your working style?
Integrated

How would students describe you?
Creative, fun, passionate about books, and a little bit silly

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
I’d love to be able to fly. The ability to fly would be great for exploring the world and seeing nature from a whole new perspective.

Van Morrison

What would surprise people about you?
Since I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, I’m a Badger fan.
