Why did you want to work at Emerson?
As a native Ann Arborite and I’ve heard for years about the amazing learning community at Emerson and how wonderful it is to be part of this community. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with the awesome Emerson staff and students.
What wows you about Emerson?
I am impressed by the strong fine arts and language programs at Emerson as well as the kind and generous people who work there. Also, the library is pretty cool.
In one word, what is your working style?
Collaborative
How would students describe you?
They seem to think I’m a good singer (I’m not).
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
It’s not a superpower but I would love to be tall so that I could reach things on high (and even medium high) shelves.
Favorite artist or band?
Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia
What would surprise people about you?
I raise butterflies in my spare time.
What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
I play the harp professionally. And, I have lots of gardens focused on butterflies, native plants, and collecting the rain that runs off of my house.
Who/what inspires you?
The children I work with constantly surprise and inspire me.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Almond Joy
