What year did you start at Emerson?
1988

Why did you want to work at Emerson?
My children had such a good experiences at Emerson that I jumped at the chance to be part of the fun and the family of Emerson.

What wows you about Emerson School?
Everything—but especially the people.

In one word, what is your working style?
Friendly

How would students describe you?
Weird, as a compliment, of course. I hope they also think I am kind.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
I would like to be faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound or be able to see in the dark so it would be easier to read at night.

Favorite artist or band?
The Beatles

What would surprise people about you?
Almost everyone knows that I have done one skydive and would like to do more, so the surprising fact might be that as a child I used to dissect frogs and worms because of how interesting it was. I never cut up any of my brother’s snake and turtle collection, though.

What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
Of course I love to read but I also like to sew and crochet and do word puzzles. I also like to walk in the woods on a sunny day.

Who/what inspires you?
I am inspired by my children and children in general who help to see the world in different ways through their eyes.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint chocolate chip

If a movie were made about you, who would be cast to play you?
Myrna Loy because when she was in grade school she once kissed my uncle in a school play. (Of course, she is no longer living so I won’t hold my breath that she will be available.)

Favorite quote, or anything else you would like Emerson families to know about you?
Your kids are the greatest gift you will ever get, love and appreciate them every day.
