Why did you want to work at Emerson?
Before moving to Michigan, I worked for many years at a small independent school in North Carolina. Emerson reminds me of my previous school – its size, mission, and values align very well with all that I love about teaching in independent schools.
How would students describe you?
Supportive, caring, engaged
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Invisibility. I am not sure why – maybe it is the introvert in me!
Favorite artist or band?
I probably listen to Taylor Swift and Lumineers the most…
What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
I enjoy walking, a good movie or show, and time with my family and dogs.
Who/what inspires you?
My husband and kids, and I have had the great fortune of working with some of the most creative and inspiring colleagues and friends throughout my career.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate peanut butter
