I started working at Summer at Emerson in 2015.
Why did you want to work at Emerson?
I know firsthand how unique, collaborative, and supportive the Emerson community is and I’m excited to be a part of such an inclusive learning environment.
What wows you about Emerson?
I’m impressed by Emerson’s reflective and curious learning community and the strong teamwork demonstrated between the faculty and families.

Collaborative
How would students describe you?
I hope my students would describe me as caring, energetic, and encouraging.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Favorite artist or band?
I enjoy all genres of music – from Dave Brubeck to Aretha Franklin to Bon Iver.
What would surprise people about you?
I did part of my student teaching in Australia!
What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
I enjoy being with my family, including playing games, swimming at the lake, and spending time at the library.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I love ice cream! My favorite flavors are Cookies & Cream and Mint Chip.
Favorite quote, or anything else you would like Emerson families to know about you?
One of my favorite quotes is from Fred Rogers: “Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
