The welcoming community and the opportunity to work in an environment that supports innovation and creativity were both big draws for me as a young teacher.

A group of faculty that will do ANYTHING for students.

Energetic.
How would students describe you?
Fun, an advocate for them, a basketball trick shot magician
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to teleport so I could easily travel around the world.
Favorite artist or band?
Various podcasts.
What would surprise people about you?
I love to cross-country ski (skating style) and do yoga every morning.
What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
Spend time with my wife and three kids, go mountain biking, and follow Michigan sports.
Who/what inspires you?
The desire to treat my students as I would want my own kids treated by the adults in their school life.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Anything with peanut butter cups.
