What year did you start at Emerson?
2014

Why did you want to work at Emerson?
I wanted to work at Emerson because it is an environment where students love to learn and be challenged. Emerson takes the whole child into consideration and celebrates students’ unique talents.

What wows you about Emerson School?
Emerson is a community that cares about each person involved in it. From the first time I walked through Emerson’s doors I knew it was a place I wanted to be.

In one word, what is your working style?
Creative.

How would students describe you?
Students say I am a fun-loving, energetic, horse-crazy “coffee-holic”, who loves her students as if they were her own kids.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
I would be able to talk to animals as if they were people, wait, I already do that:)

Favorite artist or band?
Enya

What would surprise people about you?
When I was sixteen years old I was a puppeteer for a cable television show called The Gingerbread House. I also illustrated a middle school science textbook called Pollution and the Ozone Layer, my characters were called the Pew Patrol.

What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
I love to play with my grandson Joseph and hang with my horses at the barn. I also love to paint.

Who/what inspires you?
Ron Clark, the teacher who won the Disney Teacher of the Year in 2000, inspires me. I watch his film, “The Ron Clark Story,” every year before school begins.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Pistachio.

If a movie were made about you, who would be cast to play you?
Stocker Channing

Favorite quote, or anything else you would like Emerson families to know about you?
“Time flies whether you are having fun or not. The choice is yours.”
